This VP Quality position is a system-wide role. Particular areas of focus include Quality Improvement, Patient Satisfaction, Patient Safety, Clinical Risk Management and Clinical Decision Support.
As a key member of the senior system leadership team, this individual will provide strategic and operational leadership and accountability to improve clinical, financial, and service delivery results across the system. Requiring a unique blend of clinical expertise, business acumen, and technical savvy, this individual work with all levels of the organization from the Board of Directors to the clinical staff, Finance, IT and HR to set the vision, goals, implementation plans, and performance standards for the delivery of high quality, safe, effective care for the system. Hospital Quality teams will be directly accountable to the system VP of Quality.
Qualifications:
- BSN or MSN required
- Master’s degree in hospital, health care administration, business or related field desirable
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
- 5 years combined experience in a clinical, management, administrative role in an acute care healthcare setting
- 2-3 years’ recent experience in a Quality Management leadership role in an acute care hospital environment
- Previous management experience in a healthcare environment
- Demonstrated experience using Lean or other quality improvement methodologies in an acute care hospital environment to produce measurable and meaningful results
- Excellent oral and written skills; strong collaboration skills
- Excellent data analysis, strategic planning, and project management skills
