Regional Chief Nurse Executive (CNE)

The Regional Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) position is responsible for providing strategic planning, direction and administrative leadership for Nursing Services for a multi-hospital region in a highly desirable area in the Northeast.  The CNE reports directly to the Regional President and each hospital CNO within the region will have a matrix reporting relationship to the Regional CNE.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated strategic and operational nursing leadership across multiple hospital campuses and success in driving Quality Measures and best practices, productivity, and achieving extraordinary patient satisfaction and employee engagement in an acute care hospital settings.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in acute care hospital settings with 5 years of current experience performing as a CNO or CNE with responsibility for multiple campuses and entities.  Demonstrated impact on clinical quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, employee retention and engagement, and physician engagement.  Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to empower and develop nursing leaders.  Proven ability to perform well in a matrix environment.  Seeking a dynamic, experienced, metrix/outcomes driven and innovative CNE who is interested in joining a thriving and growing organization,

Education

Bachelor in Science of Nursing is required; Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration; Advanced leadership certifications and fellowships highly desirable.  Experience in Six Sigma and/or Lean methodology is desirable.  Evidenced-based practice and patient-centered leadership is imperative.
