Emergency Department Nursing Director

Great opportunity for an Emergency Department (ED) Nursing leader to make an impact on a mid-size hospital in Washington and the patients they serve; that is part of a larger healthcare system.

The Emergency Department Nursing Director assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of patient care with 24-hour responsibility for total management of the Emergency Department. Provides administrative direction for development and evaluation of all nursing personnel and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. Accountable to assure that HCAPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are all in acceptable ranges. Accountable for building and directing teams to improve core measures and other Joint Commission initiatives. Is proactive in identifying needs of staff and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership direction.

The hospital is set in a beautiful community that is a great place to call home! It offers a mild climate, excellent schools, exceptional cuisine, nearby wineries, abundant outdoor and recreational activities to name a few. We recruited the CNO here a few years back and seeking a strong nursing leader to add to the team.
