Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health professional with a business development, sales or marketing background to grow a hospital’s regional Occupational Health Service Line!
In this role, you will lead the strategic plan and oversee operations of the Occupational Health Service line while engaging with local employers to identify their needs, understand their pain points and leverage the hospital’s resources to deliver an occupational health solution.
Typical employer needs may include pre-employment physical examinations, return-to-work clearance examinations, drug testing, tuberculosis screening, Department of transportation (DOT) examinations, annual examinations, pre-travel consultations, work injury care and wellness programs. Pain points may include lost time and workers comp and health insurance premiums.
This is a high visibility initiative for the hospital region with sponsorship from the Regional CEO. This Director level Occupational Health role reports to a supportive and engaging RVP Ambulatory Operations. This role a unique opportunity to provide leadership for meaningful growth contribution for the hospital and a positive business impact for employers in the region.
The Director Occupational Health & Business Development role is located in a mid-size Midwestern community that is safe, affordable and has good schools. It is near a domestic airport, has numerous universities in the area and offers a variety of dining, shopping and entertainment experiences.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years Occupational Health experience – required (clinic based, employer based or hospital based)
- Past B2B Business Development, Sales or Marketing experience – preferred
- BSN – preferred
- COHN – preferred
