Critical Care Nursing Director – Washington

Our hospital client is seeking a passionate and experienced Critical Care nursing leader to join the team as the Director of Critical Care Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, who we recruited several years ago, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall department operations of Critical Care Services including ICU, PCU, Cath Lab, and the Cardiac Monitoring Center.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of staff and ensuring that hospital policies are followed to provide the best possible care and service to patients. Additionally, you will be in charge of managing performance improvement initiatives within your department, participating in ongoing efforts to enhance quality, and preparing and monitoring budgets for your unit. You will also consult with physicians, staff, and the Chief Nursing Officer to address nursing-related concerns,

Qualifications

  • RN required
  • BSN required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years ICU nursing experience in acute care hospitals required
  • 2+ years nursing leadership experience required
  • CCRN certification preferred
