Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) position is responsible for providing strategic planning and strong administrative leadership for Nursing Services at an academic affiliation hospital with two campuses in a highly desirable area of New England. The CNO reports directly to the hospital President/CEO with a matrix reporting relationship to the Regional CNE.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership success in driving Quality Measures and best practices, and achieving extraordinary patient satisfaction and employee engagement in an acute care hospital setting. Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in acute care hospital settings with 5+ years of current or recent experience performing as a CNO. Demonstrated impact on clinical quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, employee and physician engagement. Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to empower and develop nursing leaders. Proven ability to perform well in a matrix environment. Executive nursing leadership in academic affiliated / teaching hospitals and union experience is highly desirable. Magnet framework and Baldrige criteria familiarity are highly desirable. Union experience is a plus. Education
Bachelor in Science of Nursing; Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration; Advanced leadership certifications and fellowships highly desirable.
