Chief Nursing Officer

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced senior nursing leader (CNO, ACNO or Nursing Director) to lead a 100+ bed hospital in a picturesque area of North Carolina.

Reporting directly to a supportive and engaging CEO with a clinical background, the CNO will lead the clinical areas of the hospital; hire, develop and retain staff to advance the practice of nursing; and ensure regulatory and legal compliance.  Accountable on a 24×7 basis, the CNO assesses, plans, implements and leads all activities related to delivering exception patient care while motivating, managing, and developing staff to ensure high levels clinical competency and care delivery.  Adept at managing budgets, staffing levels, and ensuring quality standards are met and exceeded; proven strategic-thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.

The hospital is set in a beautiful, affordable, friendly area of North Carolina.  This desirable location offers plenty of indoor and outdoor activities and is located near an airport, universities, shopping, dining, etc.  North Carolina’s temperate climate offers the opportunity to be active year around.

Qualifications:

  • RN license in state of practice required
  • Bachelor degree required; BSN preferred
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field required
  • Current or recent experience as Critical Care Nursing Director or CNO (minimum of 5 years)
  • Strong clinical background (critical care, ICU, and/or CCU, preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving quality clinical outcomes, patient safety, service delivery excellence, and employee engagement
