Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) – Midwest

Our mid-size, acute care, hospital client, part of a nationwide healthcare system, is seeking a dynamic CNO with extensive clinical nursing and management experience in an acute care environment.   Reporting directly to a fantastic CEO that we recruited, the CNO understands the operations of the healthcare organization, current trends and changes within the healthcare industry, and state and federal compliance and regulatory standards.  Accountable on a 24×7 basis, the CNO assesses, plans, implements and leads all activities related to delivering exception patient care while motivating, managing, and developing staff to ensure that critical nursing skills are available to the hospital in the short, medium, and long term.  Adept at managing budgets, staffing levels, and ensuring quality standards are met and exceeded; proven strategic-thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of current and/or recent CNO experience
  • Minimum of 10 years demonstrated progressive nursing leadership in acute care hospital setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving quality clinical outcomes, patient safety, service delivery excellence, and employee engagement
  • RN license in state of practice required
  • BSN required
  • Master Degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field strongly preferred
  • Advanced certifications in nursing and executive leadership are highly desirable
